and the oscar goes to..

i have to admit, i havent been in a very bloggy mood lately. basically this is because my week has been pretty boring. i do the same thing every day, i go to work, i come home, i eat, and i watch a movie. today was kind of interesting though..
Heath Ledger died today. heath ledger He was only 28 and died of an apparent drug overdose. this news is really sad and especially sucks because he had just finished shooting his role as the joker in the new batman film “the dark knight”. this is one of the most anticipated movies of 2008….at least for me being a huge batman nerd. but heath ledger was cool and im sorry that this happened to him.
this weekend i saw the movie “cloverfield”. cloverfield its basically a monster movie shot on a digital camcorder. so its essentially “the blair witch project” meets “godzilla”. it was very clever and done very realistically, i enjoyed it immensely.
Also, today the academy award nominees were announced. I think the choices are all pretty good. now out of my own curiosity, im going to list all the choices and put MY oscar picks in caps. feel free to make your own oscar selections in the comments. it will be funny to go back after the oscars and see how close we came!
